We have rooms available for meetings, classes, children's parties and other events.  






On Saturdays the Main Hall is available between 12 - 6pm for children's parties

or other events at a rate of £50 per hour.


DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE for long term hires, so do email us if you are looking to start a class.

  • Is there parking available on site?
    Parking is prohibited outside the centre on weekdays. The nearest parking is available at the NCP carpark on Caversham Road or by the Rose and Crown pub, 71-73 Torriano Ave. Both are within five minutes walking distance from the Centre. If you are hiring a space at KTCC we are usually able to provide a parking permit for our reserved space in Torriano parking bay.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations must be made at least 3 days in advance. There is no charge for cancellations.
  • Can I arrive early to set up for my event?
    We recommend that hirers include any set up time into the duration of their booking.
  • Is WiFi available at the centre?
    All of our rooms offer free WiFi.
  • Can you set up the room for our event?
    As we are a small staff we are NOT usually able to set up rooms for hirers. Please factor any set up time into the duration of your booking.
  • Can you provide catering for our event?
    We do not currently offer a catering service, but guests are welcome to make use of our free supplies and facilities to make tea and coffee. We have two kettles and around 60 mugs in our kitchen. A tea urn is also available on request.
  • Is there a local resident discount for room hire?
    We do not currently offer discounts to local residents for one-off hires. We offer a number of FREE classes and events for local residents (see website for details)
  • Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my booking?
    There is no deposit required to secure bookings. We require full payment a week in advance of the booking. For parties and private weekend hire we require a deposit of £100 to cover any damages to the room or over-running of events. Deposits are returned by bank transfer within 10 days.
  • Can I bring alcohol to my event?
    Alcohol is usually permitted for age appropriate events, but must be approved by the venue. If you wish to bring alcohol to your event please let us know when booking.
  • Are bouncy castles permitted at children's events?
    We can NOT accommodate bouncy castles or large inflatables at our centre.
  • Are we required to clean up the space after our event?
    The room must be left as it was at the beginning of the hire. Floors must be swept and rubbish placed into recycling bags which the centre will provide.
  • Can we put up balloons, bunting etc?
    Balloons and banners can be attached to the brickwork in the Main Hall. Please do not attach any items to the painted woodwork or mirrors.
  • When will I get my deposit back?
    Deposits are refunded by bank transfer within 10 days of the booking provided the room was left in the condition it was at the beginning of the hire. If the hirer used the room for longer than the agreed time they will be charged £10 for every ten minutes which will be removed from the deposit. See the 'General' section for more info on deposits.
  • Can I store items at KTCC for my class?
    There is usually some storage space available in our Main Hall and Dance Studio. Please email or call for more details. KTCC does not take responsibility for any items stored at the centre.
  • Do you offer a discount for regular hires?
    Yes, discounts are available for on-going weekly hires. Please call or email for more information.
  • Can KTCC help promote my class?
    We can advertise your class in our quarterly newsletter as well as our website and social media accounts. We are also happy for posters for classes to be displayed inside the building.
