Latin Dance with Amerissa Vogiatzi

First Saturday of every month!

4pm - 6pm at KTCC

Come and join us for our free monthly latin dance classes with Amerissa Vogiatzi!

​

As part of our Older People's Project we are hosting the fabulous Amerissa Vogiatzi who will teach this free Latin Dance Class for anyone over the age of 60.

Amerissa will teach a few Latin Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, and Baccata steps, as well as many others. 


We may begin with a line dance for everybody to understand and follow with the possibility of trying it as couples! 

Don't worry if you have trouble moving or standing as Amerissa will cater the class for all abilities.

There will also be a tea and coffee break where you can chat to your fellow dancers. 

If you are already a member of the Older People's Club at KTCC there is no need to book - just come along.

An experienced dance teacher Amerissa Vogiatzi studied classical dance and performing arts in London in the 1980's at the Urdang Academy of Dancing and Performing Arts. She is an RTS RAD in the Royal Academy of Dance. 


Amerissa has been dancing and performing in the whole of Europe and in Greece (with the experimental ballet of Athens of Yiannis Metsis and Harris Mandafounis contemporary dance company)  where she hails from and had a dance school in Rhodes, Greece for 12 years. She has been teaching all styles of dance in her school (Ballet, Contemporary Jazz, Belly Dance, Latin, Argentinian tango, Beginners Pole) and all age groups. 


Amerissa is also an actress and has toured and performed in many theaters in Greece especially with the Aegean Theater Company.
