The Older People's Project

When the Coronavirus pandemic hit we immediately set up a phone bank and spoke to all our Older People to let them know that we were changing our service.

We kept in contact with our members, sent out letters and treats, provided assistance for those that needed help and ran surveys and fun competitions to keep everyone’s spirits up. Our centre stayed open throughout 2020 to support our local residents including all our older people.

During the height of the spring lockdown we asked all our members what they would like to see from the project when we returned.  These ideas include…

·     Craft and Creative Projects

·     Quizzes and Games Sessions

·     Film Clubs

·     Kentish Town Walking Tour

Our members have found these sessions a real highlight to their week and a brilliant opportunity to have a safe and socially distanced cup of tea and chat with local people whilst learning a new skill or activity.
